The client wishes for the website to explain their services, in this case providing historical tours of Portland, and to bring in more clients. The site will provide visitors with information on upcoming events, pricing and scheduling of tours, and any relevant information about the tours themselves.

Interested Portland, OR locals or travellers visiting from out of town.
What opportunity, problem or issue does the client want addressed?
The client wants to provide visitors of the site with relevant information on the tours offered, as well as the company's background in providing those tours in order to convince people to book with them over competitors.
What does the client want visitors to do?
The client wishes for visitors of their site to be able to call them, fill out contact forms, search for information on available tours, and book a tour.
Potential Website Competition:
The Shanghai Tunnels/Portland Underground Tours are another group that provide a similar service to the client's company. It has nice decor (background image, images scattered throughout, pleasing fonts) but a rather messy and unpleasant navigation bar that could definitely be improved upon.
Know Your City is another group that provide a similar service, and while their website is very aesthetically pleasing to look at, it is very text-heavy and some of the webpages have inconsistent design.
